My name is Laura Davis, and I am running as a first term
candidate for our Camdenton School Board.
I have worked as a Speech-Language Pathologist at Lake Regional Hospital
for the past 11 years and have a master’s degree in that field. My husband, Jed, manages a healthcare network. We have one daughter who has attended
Camdenton schools since kindergarten and is now a freshman at Camdenton High
School.
I have enjoyed volunteering and participating in a variety
of community and school organizations over the past several years. Currently, I am a board member for the
Camdenton School Band Boosters. Seeing students work countless hours to compete
at the highest levels in the state of Missouri has been inspiring. In addition, I serve on the School Health Advocacy
Council in the Camdenton School District and have also enjoyed hosting a Rotary
Club foreign exchange student this year.
This experience has provided my family the opportunity to view the
Camdenton Schools through the eyes of a student from another country. I have previous experience as
a children’s church leader, as a volunteer for the Lake of the Ozark’s Soccer
Association, and as a volunteer for Camdenton grade school honor choirs.
If elected, I will continue to foster the standard
of excellence that this community has come to expect of our school. I feel that the most important requirement as
a board member is the ability to weigh the pros and cons of all decisions while
being able to work as a team with the other school board members. Please vote for me on Tuesday, April 7 as I support
the Camdenton R III School District students, teachers, and administrators in
their journey toward continued academic and extracurricular excellence.
